IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR COURIERS & DELIVERY COMPANIES - Boxby is Changing
Over the next few months you'll see a lot of changes coming to boxby. With new services and functions added, everything is about getting more jobs through from the customers, and encouraging them to accept quotes as quickly as possible.
Online PODs with The PODFather
We are seeing an increasing demand from customers throughout the courier and delivery industry for online Proof of Deliveries. And even ebay now requires customers to use a delivery company with an online POD if they want to take advantage of seller protection policies. We have integrated our online system with PODFather technology so that all customers using Boxby can link through to PODFather data to see proof of collection and delivery.
In order to assist couriers, we have negotiated a special offer with the PODFather where boxby couriers can have a single trader account, with unlimited PODs for only £25 a month. So that you can use it for all your jobs, not just the boxby ones.
Ebay Widget bringing in more Ebay Jobs
Love it or hate it, Ebay does generate a high level of customers looking for couriers for delivery jobs. We have recently introduced an ebay widget that means that ebay buyers and sellers can list delivery jobs on boxby in a matter of seconds. For more information please see our ebay deliveries website.
Couriers Trade only Forum
Sometimes couriers just want to post jobs and availability to others in the trade. We have recognised this by creating a trade only noticeboard where couriers can post details of backloads wanted and available, empty space, regular runs etc. This is also the place that we will be listing business enquiries from business customers looking for regular contract couriers. Paid Membership for New Couriers
New couriers registering from 1st November 2009 will be charged a membership fee of £99. Currently, existing members will be able to continue using all of boxby's services for free.
Speeding up the Jobs
Listening to our couriers, we hear that what you want from boxby is a way to hear about the customers who have jobs right now ready to go. Listening to our customers, we hear that what they want is an quick and easy way get through the whole quotation process so that they can get their deliveries sorted straight away. Coming soon to boxby is a new alert system that plans to let customers and couriers sort deliveries out in seconds. All from their mobile phones.
Advertising on Boxby

Remember, customers on Boxby are already looking for a courier, so you are advertising to a highly targeted market, much more sensible than other advertising on random or general websites. Parcels
Our parcel partner company CCL Logistics has recently relaunched its online booking service as Parcels Please. The Parcels Please website is much easier to use, and offers some of the cheapest next day parcel delivery prices around, and that includes deliveries out to Europe. Delivery Price Mark Ups
Just to remind you - there are no mark ups on the prices that you submit. And we charge you no job fees.
The price that you quote is that price that you are paid. Therefore, please include in your price any VAT which you may be liable to.
Couriers Fees became free on 1st January 2009.
